Position Summary:
Allen Memorial Library at Valley City State University invites creative, energetic, and service-oriented professionals to apply for the position of Research and Instruction Librarian. We seek a librarian who is passionate about student success, thrives in a collaborative environment, and will support our campus vision to deliver distinctive, learner-centered experiences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing research services through chat, email, Teams, phone, and in person.
• Information literacy instruction sessions.
• Creating and maintaining research guides, video tutorials, and other instructional aids.
• Library outreach and programming to promote the use of library resources and engage students both on campus and at a distance.
• Participating in the development of print and electronic collections.
• Maintaining the library’s social media presence and overseeing student library assistant content creation.
• Supervision and management of circulation and interlibrary loan services.

Compensation:

$48,000-52,000. Comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid full family coverage for health insurance, TIAA retirement, and tuition waiver benefits. Click here for more information.
