Portland Public Library is Maine’s oldest and largest public library system and is the most visited cultural institution in Maine. Located on the bustling Monument Square, near restaurants, shopping, and walking distance to prime waterfront destinations, the renovated downtown location won an American Institute of Architects design award in 2013.

Portland, ME, recently made Fodor’s GO LIST for 2020! “The heart of Vacationland is brimming with great food, great beer, great people, and great memories”, and was named the Restaurant City of the Year by Bon Appetit.
