Company Profile
Company Overview
Our library serves an agriculturally-based population of approximately 19,500. Dotted with rural farming communities and locally grown businesses, we reflect small town flavor. Situated 33 miles northeast of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and 75 miles southwest of Toledo, Ohio, Paulding County provides an affordable opportunity to enjoy the benefits of small town life while being within easy driving distance of amenities larger cities offer.
The first county library in the country funded by Andrew Carnegie, PCCL extends its services through the main library in Paulding and branch locations in the villages of Antwerp, Oakwood, and Payne. Additionally, a bookmobile travels our county delivering services to smaller communities, schools, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other pockets of population who may lack access to a brick and mortar location or are among the traditionally underserved. While proud of our heritage and the services our library has traditionally provided, we are also mindful of the modern-day library user and strive to provide the services that meet his needs. In that way, we do our part to make Paulding County a better place to live.
