Company Overview
MCLINC is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit library consortium founded in 1995, composed of 16 public libraries and library systems in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. MCLINC's funding comes primarily from member libraries' dues & E-rate discounts. It's main mission is to operate a shared integrated library system (Polaris), a wide-area network supporting the ILS, 320-350 staff computers, and 700+ public internet workstations in 32 public library buildings, plus ILS connections to four public library bookmobiles operated by the Montgomery County - Norristown Public Library.
At its headquarter in Conshohocken, it operates a server farm supporting many Polaris ILS functions, Outlook email supporting 350+ staff email boxes, internet content filtering (compliant with Federal and State requirements), member libraries' website and security software.
