Located on the southern edge of the Kansas City metropolitan area and 40 minutes from downtown Kansas City, Missouri, Cass County Public Library serves approximately 100,000 residents with 7 branches, including a Genealogy branch. With 72 staff (32 FTE), the library provides services in suburban and rural areas of the county. The library is a member of the Missouri Evergreen consortium, sharing items with over 50 libraries across Missouri. The library provides library by mail service to homebound individuals throughout the county. Having recently passed a tax increase in 2020, the library is positioned to enhance library services both physically and digitally.
