The City of Ames offers a comprehensive benefits package for employees regularly working 20 hours or more per week. Benefits are pro-rated for employees working between 20-39 hours per week. The benefits available include vacation, sick leave, family sick leave, emergency leave, life insurance and AD&D, health and dental insurance, vision insurance, retirement, long-term disability, tuition reimbursement, and an employee assistance program.
