The Library Network is governed by an elected five-member Board of Trustees who have direct taxing authority and enjoys stable funding: Anticipated revenue in FY 2020 is $6.8 million. The Board oversees seven locations, a bookmobile, and a mobile technology bus within a service area of 1,110 square miles in Kootenai and Shoshone Counties. There are 111,500 residents in the District’s service area with about 68,000 holding library membership.
