Pike County, Pennsylvania (population 57,000) is seeking a highly motivated, experienced individual who can provide leadership and direction for the Pike County Public Library system, managing a staff of 4 full-time and 13 part-time employees, and reporting to a 7 member Board of Trustees.
The Executive Director ensures the efficient and effective operation of the library system, that consists of two branches, by developing, implementing and continuously evaluating an action plan in conjunction with identified needs; develops and implements overall goals, policies and objectives; conducts active community outreach and marketing; develops, prepares and oversees the library system’s annual budget; and plans, allocates and monitors staff to ensure efficient delivery of quality services.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience with a competitive benefits package.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Studies from an ALA-accredited institution, and five or more years of progressively responsible supervisory experience.
