Position Available: The expected start date is as soon as possible after the closing date. This is a 100%-time, twelve-month appointment Academic Professional position.
Duties and Responsibilities: The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks an innovative, collaborative, knowledgeable, and service-oriented professional for the newly created position of E-Learning Specialist. The University Library has a strong tradition of instruction, and this newly created position will build upon ongoing instruction practices in the University Library. Reporting to the Coordinator for Information Literacy Services & Instruction in the Office of User Services, the successful candidate will develop and support e-learning programs in the University Library and work closely with subject specialist and instructional librarians who support online programs and/or create instructional materials to support blended learning. The E-Learning Specialist will be responsible for providing e-learning support, consulting, training, and communications to library faculty, staff, and units in order to enhance the instructional efficiency and learning outcomes of the Library.
Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree; experience in an education setting providing support to instructors for the delivery of online or blended learning; experience with course management software; demonstrated success working collaboratively in a team environment; effective communication skills; interest in instructional technology testing and assessment.
