Advertising and Product Rates
Online ads
Regular (Non-member) rate: $85 plus $0.90 per word
ALA Institutional Member rate*: $70 plus $0.75 per word
Logo surcharge: $20 to upload a GIF or JPG of an institution's logo that will appear in the online ad
Online ads run for 60 days on the JobLIST site.
Online ads include free access to our job seeker résumé bank, as well as the JobLIST Communication Tool, allowing employers to communicate with thousands of potential applicants from across the country. This feature can be accessed by clicking "Placement Service" on the Employer Home page when an online ad is active on our Web site.
Employers may choose to run their print ad online for an additional $70 (ALA institutional members)/$85 (non-members).
Placement Ads
Flat rate: $100
Placement ads are designed to be used specifically during conference periods. Employers can purchase an unlimited number of placement ads at the cost of $100 per ad.
Placement ads are only available during designated conference periods and run for 2 weeks on the JobLIST site.
Placement ads include access to our job seeker résumé bank, as well as the JobLIST Communication Tool, allowing employers to communicate with thousands of potential applicants from across the country. This feature can be accessed when the account has an active ad on ALA JobLIST by clicking "Placement Service" on the Employer Home page.
In order to use the live on-site placement service at conferences, you must have either
an active placement ad or regular online ad during the conference period.

Print ads
Ads may be placed to run in print in American Libraries, C&RL News, or both. If you choose to run the same ad in both American Libraries and C&RL News, you will receive a 10% discount off the print ad rates.
Employers may choose to run their print ad online for an additional $70 (ALA institutional members*)/$85 (non-members).
American Libraries magazine Line ads
Line ads are blocks of text. One line in American Libraries magazine equals approximately 35 characters and spaces. Member pricing for American Libraries magazine is based on institutional membership in ALA.

Display ads are boxed, formatted ads, laid out by American Libraries production staff or supplied as a camera-ready PDF file.

Ads received after the 5th of every month will be included on a space available basis and charged an additional $100 late ad submission fee. Display Ads
Display ads are formatted ads, laid out by C&RL News staff or supplied as a camera-ready PDF. Please note that C&RL News sizes differ from American Libraries and are smaller than a standard Word document. If you elect to submit a PDF, please verify your size is correct to avoid revisions.

Institutional profile
Employers may purchase a subscription for a link to their institutional profile to appear at the bottom of each of their ads and in a master list of institutions.

Payment Terms
We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. If pre-approved for purchase order billing, terms are Net 30 from invoice date. Customers outside the United States and Canada may also pay by wire transfer. Contact staff at joblist@ala.org for additional details.
